Tattoos

Last weekend had a great camping weekend in Nelson. For those who don't know, Nelson is about 5 hours east of Kelowna and is a hippie town with an abundance of pot. It also has awesome mountains and surprisingly awesome beaches too. Did some hiking in Kokanee Glacier Park - we pretended we were the Kokanee Cougar girls. Watch out for the porcupines there!! I had never seen this. As we got 15km up a logging road to the parking lot, just getting out of her car was a friend I hadn't seen in years who just got married in BC and was touring around!! What are the odds??? Went for a hike, but it started to thunder and lightening so got out of there fast.

Went to the Sat market and got tattoos:). Fun, fun, but they failed to tell us that Muskol isn't nice to them. My "truth" tattoo became "person". How boring. Now it just looks like a marker randomly on my ankle. Gotta take that off. Had fun visiting a good friend who moved there a couple of years ago, hanging at the beach when it was sunny, biking, etc. Not the hot weather of Ont, but still not bad. We came back to Kelowna for a lot of smoke in the air from so many fires. At least they aren't close and I'm not on evacuation alert like last year.

Holidays

OMG. I finally got a break in July!!! Feeling mostly recovered from heartbreak and my courses were finally done for now. I had just been cooped up inside for months and was so excited to get to Ontario for a family visit and relax at the cottage. Had a great time, great weather and lots of fun!! Can never get to visit with everyone, but saw lots. Even met up with my first beau that I found on Facebook. Great chat after all of these years.

After a couple of weeks of learning to wakeboard, playing with my 6 niece and nephews, waterskiing, etc, I get back to BC and have a big wipeout while running downhill on the trail!! After 2 weeks, can almost straighten my knee. My ribs are still sore and it has seriously slowed me down and I really don't like being slowed down. Nothing serious and recovering well, but the warm weather seems to only be here for a short time and I want to get out and do more things. Oh well - "crash" is still around.
